I am passionate about designing spaces that reflect and support the diverse communities they serve. Architecture is not just a backdrop to life — it shapes and is shaped by how we feel, connect, and belong. My goal is to contribute to projects that prioritise emotional resonance and meaningful community engagement, ensuring that architecture emerges from the needs and voices of the people who inhabit it.

For the past six years, I have worked at Kirby Architects, where I developed the ability to manage projects holistically — balancing multiple roles from financial oversight to project delivery, allocating time and resources effectively, and ensuring that energy is spent where it has the greatest impact. Working in a small practice gave me a deep appreciation of the full lifecycle of a project — from concept to built reality — and how daily decisions shape both design outcomes and practice operations.

I now seek to transition into a larger, London-based team where I can engage with more complex, socially embedded projects and learn from diverse mentors. I aim to bring the adaptability and strategic decision-making I developed in small practice into a larger-scale setting, ensuring projects balance big-picture thinking with human-centred detail.

Sabbatical Reflections

Recently, I took a six-month sabbatical to travel through Europe, Türkiye, and Morocco, exploring the intersection of culture, history, and architecture. Experiencing diverse built environments deepened my awareness of how architecture is not just an aesthetic or technical pursuit, but a sensory and emotional one. The transformation of the Hagia Sophia and the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba revealed how adaptation carries layers of cultural memory, shaping how people experience space over time.

In Morocco, I was particularly struck by how architecture not only responds to climate but also shapes social life. Passive cooling strategies — courtyards, shaded alleys, thick-walled structures — create spaces for gathering and reflection, reinforcing cultural traditions of communal living. These experiences reinforced my belief that architecture is most powerful when it responds to both tangible and intangible human needs — providing comfort, dignity, and identity.

I am excited to bring this perspective into a London practice where I can contribute to projects that are both technically rigorous and deeply attuned to human experience — ensuring that the spaces we create do more than function; they resonate, support, and inspire.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, whose Country has shaped me — where I have learnt, wandered, listened, and built my understanding of place. This land is not just where I have existed, but where deep, unceded sovereignty continues. I honour the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, their stories, and their stewardship of this Country for countless generations.
